Visit the beautiful Norwegian coastline with this discovery trip. Travel by land from Oslo across to Aurland by train and mini bus, stopping along the way to sight see, hike, relax and take in Norwegian culture. From Aurland you will embark on a 6 day cruise up the Norwegian coastline.

Trip is reversible.

Please note there is no guide for this tour. The driver can offer advice on land, and on-board there are experienced expedition staff to assist you.

Itinerary - 14 Days

Day 1
Arrive in Oslo and transfer to your centrally located hotel.

 

Day 2 
Train to Lillehammer - visit the impressive Garmo Stave Church, open-air museums and the Olympic museum.

 

Day 3
Join a private minibus to travel to Lom, a small town encapsulating the very essence of the Norwegian countryside.


Day 4 
Day tour to Geiranger and join a fjord cruise before returning to Lom to visit its famous Stave Church.


Day 5
Continue your minibus journey together to the heart of the Norwegian fjords.


Day 6
Spend your day relaxing, hiking and taking in the views in the peaceful little town of Aurland. Enjoy the harbour area with unspoilt views of the fjord and gardens. 


Day 7 
Get your private transfer from Aurland to Flåm, and step aboard the world famous Flåm Railway to Myrdal Station with several stunning lookout points along the way, then express boat to Bergen.


Day 8
Embark your cruise in Bergen.


Day 9
Ålesund and Geirangerfjord.
 
Day 10
Be enlightened by the Medieval Spirit - The Royal City of Trondheim.

Day 11
Discover your inner explorer - Arctic Circle and Lofoten Islands.

Day 12
Excitement in the Arctic - Husky dogsledding, mountain hiking & kayaking.
 
Day 13
Explore the Northern Soul & Cape - Honningsvåg and the North Cape
 
Day 12
Disembark in Kirkenes and transfer to the airport

Passengers must be in possession of a valid passport. If unsure about visa requirements please enquire.
Cancellation

Cancellation by the passenger for any reason is subject to the cancellation charges of the shipping company:

60 days or more prior to departure, full refund. 30 to 59 days prior to departure, forfeit 50% of trip fee. Less than 30 days prior to departure, forfeit 100% of the trip fee.

Freighter Expedition charges a $200 cancellation fee.

No refund is paid for early disembarkation.

You must have comprehensive Travel Insurance which will include cancellation cover due to medical, family crisis and other substantial reasons not to travel.
